Fair Farming

In a country where the land holds centuries of stories and the people live their lives with resilience and hope, small-scale farmers in Kenya are the main focus in this collection. This series of images, titled Fair Farming: Small-Scale Farmers in Kenya, captures the unique journey of farmers whose lives have been elevated by Fair Oils, an essential oil company who focuses on growing crops locally and sustainably, processing and then exporting them.

In an interview with Jacob, the Director of Impact of Fair Oils he explained that, “Our main agenda is working to offer an opportunity to small-holder farmers to tap into sustainable value chains, so that they can lift themselves out of poverty”.

Each image in this series is a representation of the strength and determination present in these farmers. It celebrates their hard work, while showcasing their connection to the land and the direct result of the transformative power of ethical business practices. This project not only stands as an example of how people and businesses can make a conscious change but also as a reminder that working together with a shared love can create movements and inspire others to think twice.
