In the Footsteps of Giants

A Landscape That Remembers: Photographed during Tropical Ice’s 100-mile Great Walk of Africa through Tsavo, Kenya, this collection documents the experience of the journey itself, from the guests and guides to the camps, daily routines, wildlife and vast landscapes encountered along the route. Tsavo is a landscape with an extraordinary history: home to some of Africa’s remaining big tuskers and the descendants of the man eating lions of Tsavo. Moving through this landscape on foot, the work explores a place where traces of its past remain present.
